Descripció i   Metodologia:   New Trends in English Language Learning is a 30h online training on teaching and learning English in ESO and BAT. It is aimed at teachers who would like to learn about flipped classroom, gamification, PBL in ELT.
Notice that this training course is designed as an introductory course to new approaches and teaching strategies such as gamification or flipped classroom. How can I engage students using games in the English class? Is flipped classroom a good strategy in hybrid and non-hybrid classes? How can we foster English oral and written competences by means of ICT? Is PBL efficient to learn English? Feedback to my students...
The course is made up of 5 modules of an estimate 5h each, plus a final project of 5h. Each module approaches a different topic and integrates activities that can be used in the final project, which participants have to design and share in the last module.
This course takes place in Odissea from the xtec.
  
Objectius   • To update scientific-pedagogical knowledge while reflecting on globalised approaches and methodologies, especially on Project Based Learning.
• To provide teachers with materials and resources that enhance reflection on competency-based learning.
• To evaluate classroom management strategies, such as cooperative work.
• To design a project which has all the essential elements of High Quality PBL in English.
• To foster collaborative work among teachers both in and out of the school.
  
Continguts   Module 1: Learning Languages in the XXI century. Interculturality, ELF and translanguaging
Module 2: Flipped Classroom and collaborative work in EFL
Module 3: Gamification in EFL
Module 4: ICT in EFL
Module 5: Providing feedback. Assessment for learning.
Module 6: Project Design

Participants will be required to tackle different tasks in each module and a final classroom project. The modules follow a similar pattern:
a). Brief summary of the activities that you need to complete in the module.
b). A doubts/suggestions forum
c). Resources and materials to tackle the activities
d). Activities to put into practice what has been learned in the module. The last activity is always an assignment that teachers have to send to tell the tutor all tasks have been completed and also their comments about their achievements and difficulties in the module.
e). Extra resources that will help teachers to have a deeper view on the topic, if they are interested.

To get credit for this course both the activities for each module as well as the final task have to be accomplished successfully.

Avaluació   -Participants will be required to do some tasks per module and to participate actively in the forums and collaborative tasks. All tasks, which must be uploaded in Odissea, have to be completed to obtain the course certificate.
-Participants will have to complete the satisfaction questionnaire.

Persones  destinatàries   Formació adreçada a professorat d'anglès d'ESO i BAT amb mínim de C1
Requisits:
1. Disposar d'usuari XTEC actiu.
2. Haver certificat les activitats de formació adjudicades durant aquest curs acadèmic i l'anterior.
Criteris específics d’adjudicació. Les sol•licituds admeses s'ordenaran en funció de:
1.Vinculació al centre de treball 2.1.Funcionari 2.2.Interí 2.3. Substitut
2.Nivell de llengua C2,C1.
Si ets docent d'un centre concertat, municipal o les acreditacions d’especialitat i/o nivell de llengua (C2 o C1) requerides a la convocatòria no consten a l’ATRI, caldrà omplir aquest FORMULARI dins del període de sol•licitud.
